I;ve seen some of Herb Williams work, and it is quite interesting. For those of you interested in fine art and illustration, check out artsandcollections.co.uk to find a comprehensive list of all the auction events in NYC, LDN and around the world. Enjoy!

I am interested in entering your competition. I have always been an artist since first grade and throughout school. I received a Bachelor Of Fine Arts from The School of Art at Bradley University in Peoria IL. It was an excellent program especially for the very small studio classes 6 to 10 students. I was offered a Graduate assistantship from James Malenda in 1985. Although I was very honored with this offer I had to move back home to to help my dad take care of my wonderful mom who had just been diagnosed with malignant melanoma which is skin cancer and untreatable. through my moms strong battle it was my art work that got me through this time of watching my mom go through experimental treatments. She passed after her years of bravery and once again my artwork got me through were words wold not. I also was working with emotionally and physically abused children and using art work to help them heal their anger and pain. I was accepted into the Art Therapy program at The School of The Art Institute Of Chicago while I was taking care of my dad in 2001. I was so honored to be a part of this program but then I had to drop out due to my dad now being diagnosed with colon cancer. Again I used my artwork to get through his illness and death several years later. I then went back to work at the same facility that I worked with children after my family sickness leave of abscence. This time I was working with adults that had a mental illness diagnosed in the DSMIV. This is when I really saw the power of Artwork in reaching people who just so happen to have a chemical inballence in their brains . I just don't love being an artist I have to be an artist as creating is such a part of me just as breathing is. I have never shown my work as a professional in any gallery. The only shows were undergraduate shows at Bradley and of course my BFA show. Please I ask you to help me get my artwork out there for people to see and be shown in galleries as it has come to the point that I want to be discovered for my work. Thank You so very much, Steven Kriekel
