The 2008 SF Camerawork benefit auction includes some absolutely fantastic works that should appeal to all collectors of photography and art investors. Founded in 1974 San Francisco Camerawork encourages emerging and mid-career artists to explore new directions in photography and related media by fostering creative forms of expression that push existing boundaries. Camerawork has presented almost 400 exhibitions highlighting local, national and international contemporary photographers in its thirty year history. Camerawork is also instrumental in bringing traveling exhibitions to the Bay Area. In addition to photography, Camerawork exhibits artists working in installation, video, film and related media.
