We certainly bought it because we enjoyed it. Like any investment "choosing the right ones" is the important part. At the time we bought Frace he had just started limited edition prints. There was no track record. The thing that gets me is, I gave $50 for my Northern Goshawk. But if I went to buy it now it would cost $1000. So it would appear that the only ones making money on limited edition prints are the galleries that still have them. I don't pretend to know all the in's and out's of art work but I know there is not a limited edition print out there anyone could talk me into buying AS AN INVESTMENT.

Unfortunately Charles Frace wildlife limited edition prints are not investment grade, they are more decorative works of art. Limited editions are a great investment as long as you choose the right ones. If you purchased the works because you liked them in the beginning then you shouldn't be too disappointed that you aren't getting a return on what you paid form them.

A person should never buy limited edition prints as an investment. My wife and I bought a few Charles Frace wildlife prints right after his first release back in 1973. We bought them because we liked them and they were all on our walls. Well over the years our decorating changed and now they are allin the closet. And even though some of the $50prints we bought are now about $1000 on the secondary market. I can not find anyone that will give me what I paid! They will go at a garage sale soon.Limited Edition Prints as an investment? You might as well respond to some of the email you get from Africa promising a big check!!

Hi,
I am a free lance graphic designer from Iran. I use digital painting programs (Corel painter and twisted brush) for creation of digital portraits. I have a question: is it possible to receive orders and make money with this special skill? I have an online gallery: http://www.stars-portraits.com/en/membre-shahin.php please have a look at my works and write me your opinion.
best wishes Shahin
