Another year goes by! Overall , 2008 art sales have been good with some slight softening toward the end of the year, even though the economy has taken a nose dive. We should all keep on producing our art works because the sales on medium priced and lower priced art seems to be increasing. Lets continue to participate in more shows and promote our industry.
Best wishes. Monty Ousley Weddell Thee Art Gallery

Art and artists preliminary works, note books, sketches, books, etc., are indeed undervalued. There are usually discarded or lost, but in future years may become valuable, like for example, letters from or to Monet, Pollock, Picasso, and others. Perhaps we should keep these mementos of collectors and artists. Thank you for the article and keep up the good work. Thee Art Gallery at weddellart.com by Monty Ousley Weddell

Hey Nicholas. We first learned of the book arts at the 2006 NY Art Book Fair (www.nyartbookfair.com). As you've noted, Printed Matter (www.printedmatter.org) is an excellent source of info on the book arts.

There are numerous book art blogs in the blogosphere. One of our favorites is BookGirl: http://ashevillebookgirl.blogspot.com/.
