    Another good place to look for art from living artists and the galleries representing them is ArtByUs.com (http://www.artbyus.com) – it is free of cheap reproductions and yard sale finds, and a place where the seller of the art is either the artist themself or the artist’s representative (with contract) from a gallery.
    Since there are no fees on the site, the artists are able to offer their work at a price that reflects the work’s value, rather than an inflated commission including price.
    There are over 7000 artists from around the world on ArtByUs.com, so it might be a good option for collectors interested in acquiring work by living artists for realistic prices.

    I would like to give advice based on my experience selling my paintings with Picassomio. DONT DO IT! They do not pay their artists .They are the most unprofessional crew I have ever dealt with. If you need more proof check into reviews by fellow artist like myself who have been fighting to get paid for their paintings for almost a year!!

    Just a quick reply to the previous post of selling art with online galleries and not getting paid.

    I sell independently and also through a number of online virtual galleries. Over the years you get to weed out the good from the bad.

    Yes selling through these sites will cost you a commission, but you know that up front so it’s added to the price you require.
